Why do I do this work?
Because every time a patient comes into my office with a new-found sense that life is worth living again, I know I chose my job for a reason. To see a face light up with even the smallest joy, that is what gives my work meaning. And I know I am making a difference. It’s easy to lose sight of that at times with all the pressures we experience in our work, but in the end, what I do truly matters to those whose lives I have touched.
